I’m Elizabeth Rubio,

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and online psychotherapist registered in the state of California. I am passionate about helping women find balance in their life so they can thrive, not just survive. 

Over 9 years I have worked with clients to overcome anxiety, depression, difficulty adjusting to life changes, and processing trauma experiences. In addition to the certifications I hold, I continue my education throughout the year which allows me to stay current on the trends in psychotherapy and mental health treatment, this ensures I provide the best care possible to my clients. 

I use various clinical approaches tailored to each client’s goals, such as, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, to help you achieve wellness so you can live a whole-self life.

Through a trauma-informed lens we explore the underlying causes of your worries and fears, learn to identify triggers, and recognize unhelpful thinking patterns that may lead to self-defeating behaviors. You learn healthier ways to manage coping with anxiety and menstrual depression effectively long-term so you can keep kicking ass in the world.

I love to travel! I enjoy immersing myself in different worlds through food, music, and language. Music is my favorite coping skill—I have a playlist for every mood and occasion. When I'm not jamming out, I like to break a sweat on the dance floor. Dancing is my favorite form of exercise and I dance like there’s nobody watching every chance I get. Otherwise, I curl up with a good movie and some popcorn to unwind.
